Meet King
About Us

King Jones, Therapist/Brain Mapping Specialist

Hello, my name is King Jones. I am the co-owner of CFMC, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience working with individuals and families. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed my master’s degree in social work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

I specialize in working with individuals ages 15+ through issues of anxiety, depression, life transitions, work/life balance, and relationship concerns. I especially enjoy helping individuals who are feeling "stuck," whether it be at school or work, in a relationship, or when pondering the future.

Also, since becoming a parent, I have recognized the need for mental health support for fathers. I have specific training in how to support parents during the perinatal period and a passion for helping men cope with the struggles of infertility, pregnancy loss, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, as well as all the pressures and identity issues associated with each of these big life events. I know firsthand the challenges of these transitions and am here to help.

In addition, I work with couples and can assist with many common issues couples face, including pre-marital support, life transitions, infidelity, moving forward after trauma, as well as communication and connection challenges. I can also provide support for healthy separations. I utilize concepts from the Gottman Method and attachment theory when working with couples.

Additionally, I have extensive experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have also completed certification through the Child Trauma Academy through Phase I of the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics™ (NMT™).

King is licensed and available to support in-person and telehealth clients in North Carolina and South Carolina.
